Please use this information as a guideline only as every client’s skin will react differently to Microblading.
After your procedure the brow area will appear darker and the strokes will be more defined. This is normal and will continue for 2-3 days after the procedure.
Redness and swelling is typically minimal with clients and will go away after 24-48 hours after the procedure. In rare cases this feeling could last up to 3 days around the eyes. You are safe to go about your day as normal.
Showering and bathing can continue as normal, just be sure to avoid using soaps and cleansers on the brow and eye area for the first 5 days of the healing process. These first few days are crucial for allowing the pigment to absorb into the epidermis.
Be sure to wash your hands before touching the tattooed area. It is recommended that a Q-Tip is used to apply aftercare ointment.
To clean the tattooed area, wait 24 hours, then use luke warm water and pat dry using a disposable paper towel.
Avoid Moisturizers, Oils, and Petroleum based products for 2 weeks. Applying the aftercare ointment in the morning or evening is recommended after cleaning the brow area with lukewarm water. This will help the tattooed area heal and dry out naturally.
As the brows heal, they will become dry and flaky, it is important that you DO NOT pick or scratch at the area during this time. Picking or scratching can cause the strokes to lose the pigment. Once the flaking has subsided a new layer of skin will appear and the tattoo strokes may seem as though they have disappeared. Be patient through this process as strokes will reappear as your skin regenerates.
Avoid wearing makeup for 2 weeks. The chemicals and ingredients in makeup can interfere with the healing process and can negatively affect the color of the pigment.
Once the brows are completely healed, any changes and additions can be made at your Touch Up appointment.
After 6-8 weeks your brows will be completely healed. It is after this time that the true color of the brows shows. During this healing process the color of your brows will soften and lighten. This is normal and any concerns can be addressed at your first Touch Up appointment.
